I needed time to ponder whether I have enough pictures to post for this leg of the trip. I wanted so much to take a picture inside President Marcos' Mausoleum, but the searing eyes of the guard was so intense, it could have melted the candles burning within, if they were natural candles. After all these years, the coolness inside the mausoleum gives me the goose pimples. I could not wait to get out of there, to visit President Marcos' home where he grew up in Batac, Ilocos Norte.
There are a lot of artifacts in this Presidential Centre from shoes (Pres Marcos), luggages used when they fled to Hawaii, Imelda Marcos' gowns, picture posters of his military and Presidential service. Those things seem behind the times, as it has been recorded time and again in the media when his last presidential term toppled down. I wonder too, if my companions have tired of these things as they were nowhere to be found (ie. no pictures taken of us as a group). For those of you who have not seen this place, it is a "must see".
