Forever Young Class 62 Extended Reunions

Reunions are still happening beyond the golden jubilee last May 2012.  As people travel, they seem to want that social connection they had 50 years ago.  Gali and Cynthia Munar's South East Asian tour included meeting with Class62 friends in Manila.

Despedida @ TAP's Brea, California

Coffee break @ Manong Donald's was squeezed in to get the guys grilled on their high school escapades.  But, the stories told will be for another day's surprise!

Despedida came too quickly.  ELENA (better half of Percy Rillera), the ever organized event planner for class '62 in this part of the world, went on a spree...@ TAP's Fish House and Brewery in the City of Brea, Orange County.  Meatless Friday gave me a chance to sample:

The Chilean Sea Bass Specialty
(looks and tastes better in reality!)
& the BREW is superb !

Long Beach and Venice

Between takes and party invitations, Angelica and I managed to synch our schedules for a Saturday of crafts

@ Crafted at the Port of Los Angeles, San Pedro, CA

Shoreline Village, Long Beach

Venice, California

My pre-invitation to an open house in Venice to Sobhi (better half of Angel) during dinner that night, is also extended to "all" of you !!! ( In my DREAMS!)  I wish too, that it was me, who found the Yamasita Gold treasure along Harrison Road @ Burnham Park, at the bottom of my favorite eucalyptus tree during my childhood years!  The "stash" would have enabled me to get that Venice home of my dreams. LOL !!!

Los Angeles Birthday

It feels so long ago when this birthday was celebrated.  The newness of a series of invitations all happening one after the other overwhelms me. But, this seems to be the norm  in this part of the country.  Among the Filipinos, they still adhere to the "sabit ka na lang muna diyan" .  Happily, I participated to include myself in these invitations where the addressee goes to Ms So & So & Family.... so, guess what?, I am the "family" !  LOL!!!

Meeting place for Judy's birthday February 8th was at the Macaroni Grill in West Covina, California.  Judy is Rod Rivo's better half.  I was blown away with the Soprano singing waitress and her Alto counterpart wishing Judy a Happy Birthday and me singing along like a pro with: Tanti Auguri a te, Tanti Auguri a te, Tanti Auguri a JUDY, Tanti Auguri a te !

At the Trattoria during dinner, the Chef, Sous Chef, Wait staff, Bus staff  and the Receptionist segued Part III of La Traviata.  In amazement, I wondered, if working there required one to be able to sing classically (not American Idol style). Then, I thought, maybe, they use this venue to practice their skill and hopefully get discovered by a scouting agent for Operas.
