Christmas Smiles from Alaska

Bob Bunsey & Erlinda Cacho-Bunsey

Enjoying themselves in Kodiak, Alaska

As I clean up for Boxing Day [ forget Manny Pacquiao, xmas boxes into the trash ! ], I chanced upon these pictures on my desk since January, 2012.  Surely, Linda's smile has not changed in a year. My apologies to her and all of you for the late posting.

I could make a lot of excuses, primarily, not having a scanner [[wink wink... I do need a new printer and a scanner]].  A reminder to everyone to send me their latest pics over the holidays, electronically, saving me a step to scan. However, hard copies are most welcome.

Merry Christmas Mannen Apo !

On Christmas eve, children wish for a white Christmas.  Whew !!!  While we adults wish for starry skies and brighter moons, the children here eat, sleep and dream for more snow while their newly polished tobogans are waiting patiently in the garage.

Amy's location had a sputtering of snow on a greenish lawn.  Shoveling snow in Scarborough is more like my end of the city.  Out there, the adults were shoveling, while the wishful children kept themselves busy digging into their christmas presents, a kodak moment from SCIBERIA (brrr.. it is cold out here !!!)

Getting to Know You - BCHSIAA Toronto

Last night (which was a few hours ago), Amelia and I attended the BCHSIAA, Toronto Chapter Christmas gathering.  It was a fun night of renewing friendships over the years in addition to welcoming a few more into the chapter.  Our latest find is a 1997 graduate.  Her name is Sarah.  Additionally, we also have Ruth, who is a 1994 BCNHS graduate.

But still,  Amy and I enjoy being new friends every time we meet.  Pictures below show white hair and expanding waistlines (on my part), a total of 60+ years of friendship.

Financial Updates

The distributed financial reports over the last few days give us a reason to smile.  Thanks to the tight rein by Estela Espejo-del Val (Treas) over the class finances & our Secretary,Winnie Oliva-Sapin for her updates.

The current balance as at July 30, 2012 = Ph 127,690.00
(with more donations coming in !!)

The Golden Jubilee reunion (a dream of 7 months ago), gave us an opportunity to voice out our suggested projects, during the May 5, 2012 meeting presided by out going Prexy Abit Florendo-Natividad.  We, as a class are now ready to act on our projects.

The current administration headed by Daniel Lee (President), Ceferino Cawaon (Vice-Pres) with Estela and Winnie are eagerly awaiting the completion and delivery of the suggested projects.

Your urgent recommendations will facilitate the completion of this task.
