It's been a whirlwind of activity the past few days since
Sobhi died on Wednesday.
We did the service as soon as we were able
so I'm sure there were a lot of people and items missed, but we opted for quick
rather than perfect. And it doesn't help when my computer is not always
cooperative. We had a beautiful service in his honor. Greg and
Chris both did a beautiful job. We've done a good promotion for
Toastmasters.

As you know, Sobhi could have suffered a lot worse considering his type
of cancer but he didn't, considering what he has been able to do and experience
since he was diagnosed - Greg's wedding, Chris' graduation, the trips to Cancun
and the Mediterranean and the various date nights and family gatherings we
would have in our local area. He suffered in these past few days prior to
his death. When we thought it was no longer possible to make him well and
he has been functioning mostly because of machines and medication, we
made the decision to end it, as he would have liked to. We were supposed
to pull off the ventilator at 8:00 pm on Wednesday but he beat us to the punch
by pulling it out himself around 3:30 pm and died peacefully within the hour.
