(Via separate email exchanges from: Victoria Estepa, Manny & Filipinas Natividad  Date: Tue, Apr 8, 2014 at 10:11 AM

"Am greatly overwhelmed by our batch's sympathy n support for my late brother Miguel n his bereaved family members. He was buried last Sunday in Quezon, Bukidnon. The financial support will surely help a lot for Miguel's wife n cover up for some obligations. On his behalf pls extend my heartfelt thanks to all. GOD bless us all."

Hello, Amerikaners (10)- Below, please see message sent by Vickie from R. Cahulogan (Miguel's brother) on the generous "tulong" from all of you. In an earlier e-mail, Abit and Manny N. offered the advance and Vickie and Glo V. handled the transmission. So much to be thankful for during the season of lent and Easter. Till most of us meet in SF --- ag yaman tayo amin ti dakel nga tulong. Ciao amici - Ahmee

Thank you so much for the efficient and prompt delivery of our communal class'62 help to Miguel's family The CTHi and Baguio spirit always shines - haan aya? We do appreciate the advances made and generous help. Will definitely reimburse Abit and Manny asap in June. Dear Abit - Mars and Noly have been in touch with us for their contribution. Don't worry. Sure hope we get better and "sunnier" news from now on- HAPPY EASTER all - Isang karitelang halik po sa inyong lahat -  Ahmee

Editor's Notes:  TO everyone in the "Tulong for Miguel Cahulogan" email exchange to make this happen... I have been so overwhelmed with the response, that I seem to have misplaced "all" of them (must have been mis-filed somewhere) except the most recent ones above.

Special Thanks to Abit & Manny Natividad, who volunteered to advance the monies to get to the family ASAP; To Vicky Estepa and Glo Valeros for doing the run around and transmitting the monies to Bukidnon; To Amy H Nanni, who has nagged N Armerican classmates into donating; to the many of you who has pledged their generous contribution and to everyone for your support and prayers.

Thanks for your thoughts & prayers - Michails

It's been a whirlwind of activity the past few days since Sobhi died on Wednesday.

We did the service as soon as we were able so I'm sure there were a lot of people and items missed, but we opted for quick rather than perfect.  And it doesn't help when my computer is not always cooperative.  We had a beautiful service in his honor.  Greg and Chris both did a beautiful job.  We've done a good promotion for Toastmasters.

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers

As you know, Sobhi could have suffered a lot worse considering his type of cancer but he didn't, considering what he has been able to do and experience since he was diagnosed - Greg's wedding, Chris' graduation, the trips to Cancun and the Mediterranean and the various date nights and family gatherings we would have in our local area.  He suffered in these past few days prior to his death.  When we thought it was no longer possible to make him well and he has been  functioning mostly because of machines and medication, we made the decision to end it, as he would have liked to.  We were supposed to pull off the ventilator at 8:00 pm on Wednesday but he beat us to the punch by pulling it out himself around 3:30 pm and died peacefully within the hour.

R.I.P. Miguel Cahulogan

Our dear friend and classmate who has been residing down south of The Philippines in Bukidnon passed away this morning.  We will miss Miguel and his funny antics that we have all seen during our golden jubilee. He had such a happy nature and one could not avoid to take a photo of him during his funny moments. Our good-bye to you old friend.  May your journey be a happy one!

Miguel Cahulogan @ The 50th Reunion

We first featured Miguel on November 22, 2009 when we received information he was in Bukidnon.  A firm promise to attend the Golden Reunion, he travelled to Baguio with his wife, Lydia.
