However, this just goes to show how many get togethers Percy & Elena with Rod & Judy have attended together over the years, not counting the quick coffee respite Percy & Rod would have had after a night's drinking binge and a morning hang-over!!  (LOL)

This is a high school friendship which has weathered 50+ years and still is going strong.  Hurrah to both !

Gathering of the "newly" invested 65'ers @ Milestone Restaurant

Friendship surpassing the Golden Jubilee, Amy & Aurora have been friends since kindergarten @ age 5.  Sixty years of fun and bickering... OMG !!! a lot of years and we are still friends !!!

Added to the mix, is a Golden Jubilee celebration of our friendship with Sonia Rosalin. We made friends with Sonia @ UP Baguio in 1962.  Sonia welcomed us both to Canada in 1972 (siempre naki-siksik muna kami sa apartment niya). To Sonia, our biggest Thank You ever !!!

Long Lost Classmate

We might  (emphasis on might)  have found another classmate in the name of Emmanuel Suerte. Arnold Cabrera started the ball rolling and I did some searching.

Although, Emmanuel has not responded to my message, Arnold has verified (after scanning his picture) that this is the one and same Emmanuel Suerte who graduated with us in 1962.  To anyone who might remember and recognize Emmanuel, here is a gift to you for the New Year !  We hope he responds soon enough to make it to the golden reunion in May.

Alex Viray - 2012

Many of us know Alex Viray in high school.  What a transformation from who I remember as FELIX, a young guy, who can ran the school corridors as fast as a bullet during classroom breaks. I do not remember why he was always running fast. I suspected that he wanted to be first in line at the cafeteria to get the now famous CityHi  "PANCIT" sandwich.

Now, I know that he rans fast to get to as many places as he can. After high school, Alex attended the La Union School of Arts & Trades (1966). He went to Manila to teach at Juan Sumulong High School (1967-1980). While teaching, he attended Central College of the Philippines, finishing his studies in 1975. Alex joined PhilAcor as a Safety Engineer (1978-86), concurrently, was an instructor at The National University (1981-88). Tired of teaching, Alex decided to take an offer from  Sceco, Saudi Electricity Company as a Safety Engineer.  He was in Damman, Saudi Arabia (1988-2000), until his offcial retirement. Still full of energy, Alex presently works on projects as needed.
