Next Stop-BATAAN Apr 30-May 1, 2012

Hosted by long time resident of  Bataan, Leda Paraan Paloma, the invitation to this "booing" event was extended to all of Class62.  A few decided to take advantage of this planned "scare" but were still too tired and jet lagged to even speak to the "ghosts" of Spanish Colonial times.  Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar, a transported community of old Spanish homes (C.1500 -1800) from all over the Philippines with a concentration of homes from neighboring provinces of Pampanga, Tarlac, Manila, Rizal and Ilocos.

Climbing Mt. Samat (ha ha... by car of course!) was another amazing feat for our "camote" legs, similar to walking up Session Road, with our frontal lobes on the incline & our "obets" left further behind. We missed our boat to Corregidor but had an amazing lunch buffet by the roadside on our way back to Baguio

Travel to The Phils April 16 - 23, 2012

The Philippines was something of a record for that rareified travel to the homeland.  Amy and I decided to pack our bags and see if we can still hack it with smog in our thoughts, the rationed water, the heat, bugs and mosquitoes that are waiting for us.  All these "unthinkables" for a golden jubilee celebration with our long lost high school friends and classmates. 

We tested the waters of Singapore and Malaysia during the first leg of our trip to get a comparison of what to expect in The Old Philippines.

Elizabeth Rullan (nee Balangue), Beth to most of us, is considered a martyr in our midst by many.  She opted to "retire" herself from work rather than miss the Golden Jubilee.  Kudos to you, FREN !!! Nollie graciously met with ladies of Batch62. Did she ever wonder who Mars was escorting around BCHS campus in the '60's?   Mars, bigla kayo met la nga nag-disappear when we had the class62 dinner @ The Baguio Country Club. Did you hear that we were going to do "Celebrity Roast" after dinner? Sayang Nollie, we prepared a lengthy spread of Mars' high school escapades with no holds bar. Nan-geg mo kuma daguidiay "secret" affairs ni Mars.. Joke laeng (LOL)
